On Tuesday, October 2, 2018 Albertine Zawadi Mambo, Coordinator of SOFEPADI, was invited to a conference organized by the International Clinic for the Defense of Human Rights (CIDDHU) of the University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM). Moderated by Prof. Mirja Trilsch, Director of the CIDDHU, the conference focused on the theme of the Right to reparation for survivors of sexual violence. The two speakers, Albertine Zawadi Mambo and Maryse Décarie-Daigneault respectively presented a synthesis of the legal argument developed in the framework of the SOFEPADI-CIDDHU partnership and on the experience of students who worked in the winter of 2017 on the preparation of the Guide for effective access to appropriate reparation mechanisms for survivors of sexual violence crimes in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
