International Justice Mechanisms

This Partnership seeks to contribute to the growing critical literature on the efficacy of international criminal tribunals and other justice mechanisms, including national and international reparations programs. This body of work on the effectiveness of international criminal justice for women’s and children’s human rights includes discussions surrounding the impact on addressing gender violence and forced and early marriage. Our Partnership documents the ongoing reparations needs of survivors and their participation in justice mechanisms and the impacts of these processes on local social and legal norms. The project will track the legal developments of the crimes against humanity of conjugal slavery, enslavement, and sexual slavery.
